The thrum of the fan is fine If anything it has a calming restful effect. It also has a slight cooling effect on the air The double press to turn off is no big deal. Once you get used.to it, it is fine Very simple to use Well done Homedics The only negative comment is that it could be a bit smaller At 500mm high x 500mm long x 200mm long it does take up a bit of room. The you have to have at least 200mm all round to allow very air flow. For me no big deal But half the size would be better. It is a bit plastic'y But for the price is great And as said before, does a great job.

I was really happy purchasing from the Homedics website. In the past I had purchased from eBay not realising how competitive Homedics website would be. I love my Air Purifier and genuine filters.
