This is actually a bituaeful fountain that looks much better than the picture on Amazon. Although it is made of plastic, it looks quite good and much better than the artificial grey slate type fountains. As other reviewers mention, the pump really is quiet and there is a nice flow of water that is soothing when the room is quiet. I have wind chimes outside and the two together are very soothing. This fountain lights up with lovely yellow illumination. In a dark room it is quite attractive and fits into even a very upscale decor. The cost of them item is low and overall I think my 5 rating is well-deserved.
